In the fifth anniversary of the disaster in Soma, where 301 workers have lost their lives, a march was organized in Istanbul. A banner with the writing, “Everything will be well,” on it was not permitted during the march. The police claimed that the banner was prohibited upon a non-written order by Istanbul Governorate. Contemporary Lawyers Association (ÇHD) lawyer Tamer Doğan, who was in the march organized by the Platform for Solidarity With 3rd Airport Workers and ÇHD, announced the prohibition on the social media with the expressions: “The banner, saying, ‘Everything will be well!” was prohibited by the Governorate! The security director personally said it.”
