The Ministry of the Interior dismissed Diyarbakır Eğil, Bitlis Güroymak, Iğdır Halfeli and Siirt Gökçebağ Mayors and replaced them with trustees. Thus, operations were conducted against eight municipalities in the last two days. The number of People’s Democratic Party (HDP) municipalities under trustee administration reached 40 since the local elections in March 2019.
