Halk TV, Fox TV and TELE1 were penalized in the last Radio and Television Supreme Council meeting of the year. The Council fined Halk TV for denigrating former Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak, and Fox TV for denigrating the Energy Market Regulatory Authority. The reason for the penalty against TELE1, on the other hand, was shown as the statements of retired admiral Türker Ertürk, who was a guest of the Democracy Arena show hosted by Uğur Dündar. The channels will pay a penalty of 2% from their advertising revenue.
