A lawsuit was filed against Cumhuriyet Daily’s Editor-In-Chief Serkan Ozan, Managing Editor Olcay Büyüktaş Akça, Online News Director Ozan Yurtoğlu and reporter Hazal Ocak on the grounds of the news published in the newspaper with the headlines, “Bilal Erdoğan’s lucky friend” and “Friend becomes tender-rich.” The first hearing of the case against the journalists was held at the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance on the charge of “insult”.
